Background The National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) is a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The NCIRD seeks to prevent and control illness and death from vaccine-preventable and respiratory diseases. The NCIRD offers surveillance reports regarding the spread of vaccine-preventable illnesses, as well as prevention and symptoms. Topics include: influenza, pneumonia, meningitis, and whooping cough, among others. User Functionality Users can view statistical information pertaining to illness prevalence. In addition, users can view information on illness symptoms, prevention, and the CDC’s outbreak response. Some reports are available for download as PDF files. Data Notes Surveillance information is collected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
