Resumo

The objective was to evaluate agronomically and economically the use of fertigation, sources and doses of NPK in the production and quality of watermelon. The experiment was conducted under field conditions, with two sources of NPK (Farm and Test) used in fertirrigation at doses of 300, 600 and 900 L ha-1, plus an additional control in which the plants were not fertirrigated. In the economic part, the operating cost and gross and net revenues were calculated. There was an effect of fertilizers on peel thickness and titratable acidity, in which the test standard increased the value of these variables, and the doses influenced the fresh mass of the fruits and the productivity, obtaining better results in the dose of 300 L ha-1. The maximum recommended dose in fertirrigation with NPK in watermelon cultivar Manchester in the city of Uruana-GO is 463 L ha-1, a 23 % reduction in the current dose used in the farm standard (600 L ha-1). The optimal economic dose for Farm fertilizer is 80 L ha-1, as it offers a greater net return to the producer.
