RESUMO: Este estudo propõe esboçar as linhas gerais de uma extensa unidade didáctica para o ensino de literatura portuguesa, que visa desconstruir os estereótipos presentes na versão romântica da Dama do Pé-de-Cabra de Alexandre Herculano. Estabelece-se uma matéria literária composta pela lenda medieval no Livro de Linhagens, a versão de Herculano no século XIX e, no século XXI, do conto “Fascinação,” de Hélia Correia, incluindo também os ciclos de pinturas de Paula Rego e Adriana Molder. Um dos principais objectivos é mostrar como a representação da mulher, na história de recepção desta matéria literária, atravessou um processo que começou com uma caracterização positiva que se tornou negativa por influência da religião e do patriarcalismo, e como a sua protagonista foi reabilitada e novamente empoderada no século XXI através das artes plásticas. Argumenta-se que esta matéria se revela idónea para a desconstrução e actualização do cânone literário no ensino através de um feminist stand point. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Dama do Pé-de-Cabra, Livro de Linhagens, Alexandre Herculano, Hélia Correia, Paula Rego, Adriana Molder ABSTRACT: This study proposes to outline an extensive didactic unit for the teaching of Portuguese literature, which aims to deconstruct the stereotypes of the romantic version of the Dame with de Goat’s Foot by Alexandre Herculano. The literary matter is composed by the medieval legend established in the Book of Lineages, the 19th century version of Herculano, and the 21st century short story “Fascinação,” by Hélia Correia, and the cycles of paintings by Paula Rego and Adriana Molder. One of the main objectives is to show how the representation of women in the history of reception of this literary matter went through a process that began with a positive characterization that turned negative, due to the influence of religion and patriarchy, and how its protagonist was rehabilitated and empowered again in the 21st century through the visual arts. It is argued that this subject is suitable for the deconstruction and updating of the literary canon in teaching through a feminist standpoint.
