A produção científica nas instituições da Rede Memorial de Pernambuco

This article analyzes the scientific production on Pernambuco’s Memorial Network institutions in the field of Information Science. A descriptive bibliographic research using bibliometric and thematic analysis was conducted with 17 articles indexed on Information Science Database. A total of eight Memory Institutions were analyzed: Superintendência do Desenvolvimento do Nordeste, Laboratório Liber de Tecnologia do Conhecimento, Memorial da Justiça de Pernambuco, Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, Biblioteca Pública do Estado de Pernambuco, Paço do Frevo, Arquivo Público do Estado Jordão Emerenciano and Memorial Denis Bernardes. The study identified 32 authors, of which 50% are linked to the Federal University of Pernambuco. Of these, three are among the most productive and are professors at the university’s Department of Information Science. Ágora, Em Questão and Revista Brasileira de Biblioteconomia e Documentação were the most recurring journals, indicating a significant number of publications with good evaluation by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior. The research brings contributions to Information Science by highlighting productions by these Memory Institutions and their developments for society and academia, such as sociocultural elements, the prioritization of studies focused on the state of origin, the integration of multiple competencies, interdisciplinarity, the democratization of knowledge and new knowledges produced by these spaces.
