ResumoThe objective was to evaluate the relationship between SC estimation and functionality in elderly women. Cross-sectional observational study (48 elderly women), in two phases: I) sample characterization and application of functional tests [5 times sit-to-stand test (5TSTS), Gait speed test (GST), Timed Up and Go test (TUG) and manual dynamometry); II) use of the accelerometer for 7 days. Spearman's correlation test was used according to normality (Shapiro-Wilk); and significance level p<0.05. There were positive and significant relationships between estimated CS and time in 5TSTS, TUG and GST. The SC estimate showed a positive correlation with the execution time of tests linked to functionality in elderly women.
