A digital Svstem of video signais .'f astronomic use mas developed to he applied in the fi&d of Radiologv. Tlie iirlages were ohtained from r'idiologic films by means of a standard video camera.The minimal specifieations of the digital images for use in Radiotogy are as foliows: a) 2.5 lpm spatial resolution. b) a digital resolution of 8 bits (2.56 gray levels). Images (194 by 154 mm in si7e) can be obtained. The software processing was adanted for treatmenl-t, of the irnages in Radiology.
