Autores Resumo한글 본 논문은 싱커페이션과 긴장감의 관계를 분석하는 것에 목표를 두고 있다. 분석 대상인 Rufus와 Chaka Khan의 는 곡 전체에 싱커페이션을 사용하여 긴장감을 조성하는데, 악기 간에 어떤 상호작용으로 긴장감을 형성하는지 대한 음악적 분석이 필요하다고 느꼈다. 따라서 를 분석의 대상으로 하였으며, 음악에 사용된 폴리신스, 드럼, 베이스 기타, 현악기의 구조 이해를 중심으로 분석하였다. 싱커페이션이 리듬적 요소인 만큼 화성 분석보다 음표의 배치와 배열에 따른 구조적 분석을 중심으로 악기 간의 상호 관계를 확인하였다. 분석에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 폴리신스는 딜레이 어택으로 박자의 혼란을 주는데, 사용 음표는 숫자 3+4의 구조이다. 둘째, 베이스 드럼의 1마디 이상 쉼표를 활용, 하이햇의 싱커페이션 이후 다음 마디 전체를 비우는 것은 리듬의 불규칙성을 강조하기 위한 것이었다. 셋째, 베이스 기타와 클라비넷은 콜 앤드 리스펀스 형식으로 구성되었다. 넷째, 일렉기타는 코러스에서 드럼과 베이스의 유니즌 싱커페이션을 위해 음 간격을 조정해 리듬감을 강화하였다. 넷째, 현악기는 코러스 파트에서 감정 이완을 유도하기 위해 2분음표를 활용한 패드 형태로 긴 호흡을 만들어 내었다. 본 연구는 화성과 선율 분석을 주목적으로 삼지 않고, 구조에 따른 인간 감정의 변화를 주된 연구 대상으로 한다. 특히, 음표의 숫자 배열이 어떻게 청자의 감정 변화를 유도하는지에 대한 새로운 관점을 제시하고 있어 기존 연구와 차별점을 갖는다. This paper analyzes the relationship between syncopation and tension in the Rufus song Ain't Nobody (sung by Chaka Khan) focusing on how syncopation generates tension from instrument interactions. The analysis centers on the structural roles of the polysynth, drums, bass guitar, and strings, examining note arrangements rather than harmonics to explore syncopation's rhythmic influence. Key findings include the following. First, the polysynth introduces beat confusion with a 3+4 delay attack structure. Second, the bass drum uses rests that exceed the measure, emphasizing rhythm irregularity by leaving the following bar empty after hi-hat syncopation. Third, the bass guitar and clavinet form a call-and-response pattern, and fourth, the electric guitar in the chorus enhances rhythmic unity by adjusting intervals for syncopation with both drums and bass. Finally, the strings create an emotional release in the chorus with sustained notes. This study highlights structural influences on emotional response, offering a unique perspective on how note patterns drive listener emotions.
