ResumoA partir desta recente obra do historiador Jorge Lúzio, apresenta-se uma análise crítica sobre a produção e a distribuição de artefatos para o mercado internacional de arte, entendendo que o mercado de bens simbólicos no período colonial já apresenta alguns dos sintomas típicos de uma globalização capitalista (agudizada ao longo dos séculos posteriores), não só em termos econômicos, como também estéticos. Para tal fim, recorre-se a autores como Anne Lafond, Danielle Gaborit-Chopin, Simon Gikandi e Susan Buck-Mors.AbstractBased on this recent work by historian Jorge Lúzio, a critical analysis is presented on the production and distribution of artifacts for the international art market, understanding that market for symbolic goods in the colonial period already presents some of the typical symptoms of globalization capitalism (became more acute over the following centuries), not only in economic terms, but also in aesthetic terms. To this end, authors such as Anne Lafont, Danielle Gaborit-Chopin, Simon Gikandi and Susan Buck-Mors are used.
