Entre memórias e reflexões sociológicas: experiências de extensão universitária na escola Zumbi dos Palmares

This experience report describes a university extension developed in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba that aimed to rescue and record the fighting memories of the Zumbi dos Palmares community based on youth experiences. Paulo Freire, bell hooks, Maurice Halbwachs, Norbert Elias, and Georg Simmel theoretically guided this discussion. Methodologically, two activities were carried out with students in their first high school year in the space of their school and village, respectively: the construction of reliquaries for memory work and a lambe-lambe workshop. Results highlight the relation between university and school and the centrality of interaction in producing and recovering collective memory.
