Important changes related to current health care delivery systems as well as technological and scientific advances, are a challenge for hospital ethics committees (HEC) because, today, HEC must promote better ethical climates in order to reduce ethical conflicts in health care professionals. This article analizes the reasons why ethical climate can lead to ethical conflicts in health care professionals, and the ways these conflicts are expressed, from a theoretical perspective.
