ResumoThis article discusses the efforts of New York's Port Authority to curtail traffic congestion. The first part of the article describes underpasses and tunnel expansions, constructed in order to remove some of the traffic from the city streets of Manhattan and New Jersey and place it under ground. The rest of the article presents information on the new bus terminal, including the factors that led to its construction, the passengers and buses it moves, the modern bus terminal facilities, and its 41 stores and concessions.
