Resumo

This volume allows women Members of Parliament of the 1980s and 1990s a chance to speak for themselves, to go beyond the constraints of the government and to reflect upon the interplay between their public and private lives. They talk freely about the way Parliament is run, about their individual philosophies, and about the difficulties facing anyone thinking of entering politics. They offer fresh perspectives on the Muldoon years, the Springbok Tour of 1981, New Zealand's anti-nuclear stance, and the turbulence of the Lange-Douglas era.
