Resumo

Air Tahiti Nui was formed by the government of Tahiti in 1998 to provide predictable service to the tourist Destination at a time when Air France, Qantas and other carriers were reducing or eliminating service. About 180,000 passengers traveled to Tahiti in 1998; traffic in 2004 is expected to be more than twice that number. To maintain tourist traffic, a code sharing agreement has been signed with Japan Airlines and the airline works with cruise lines and tour operators to offer deals and packages.
