ResumoThis collection of essays contains some of the most up-to-date Handel research from both sides of the Atlantic. Based on papers given at the festival in London to celebrate the tercenenary of Hanel's birth, it draws together work by some of the most eminent scholars of eighteenth-century music. Topics ocvered include the background and sources of Handel's music, the staging of his operas, and his chamber and intrumental music.
