ResumoFrom the beginning of the seventies, greenhouse agriculture development encouraged a remarkable social and economic transformation of Almeria, becoming one of the most dynamic provinces in Spain. In the following decades, especially from the beginning of the nineties, new industrial and service companies were set up providing a wide range of inputs to farming and handling and trading activities alike. This sophisticated network has become a cluster. In this paper we update our former research carried out back in 1998. analysing every activity making up the cluster as well as the evolution of the most relevant variables, especially the increasing outsourced of those activities to other provinces.
