ResumoThe scanning electron microscope was used to study brain tumors and glial cells. The ependymal glial cells and astroglial cells were readily detected and compared with their morphology in light microscopy and phase microscopy. Similar studies were made with meningiomas. The beautiful and remarkable three dimensional views of these tumors obtainable with scanning electron microscopy was demonstrated. The techniques which we developed and utilized for the study of brain tumors were presented.
