ResumoYttrium oxide (Y2O3) C-type cubic rare-earth-oxide crystal structure. This structure is described as a modified fluorite-type cubic structure where one fourth of the anion sites are vacant and regularly arranged. Some studies concerning the point defect disorder (Tallan and Vest, 1966; Odier et al., 1971; Rifflet et al., 1975) and self-diffusion (Wirkus et al., 1967; Berard et al., 1968; Berard and Wilder, 1969; Gaboriaud, 1980) have been done for this oxide.
