Analysis of Ebb-Dominant Tidal Currents Characteristics at Mokpo Coastal Zone

To figure out the 'ebb dominance' near Mokpo coastal zone, it is examined the range of ebb dominant region by analyzing tidal constituents, and the variation of ebb dominance at Mokpo Harbor is also observed after constructing seadike and seawalls. The ebb dominance has been found to be more serious immediately after each construction. This is probably resulted from vanishment of tidal filter effect at Mokpo-Gu. The transport mechanism of sediment and pollutants has changed because of the deepened ebb dominance. But the ebb dominance appears to be lessened rather after constructing the Fourth seawall.
