Resumo

The concern for culture and scientific literacy in the world is growing each day.Issues as renewable energy, transgenic foods and stem cells, for example, are disclosed by the media without taking into account the poor scientific knowledge of the population.This paper presents a project of itinerant scientific presentation, whose goal is to bring the people who visit parks, public squares and public schools in teaching basic concepts of scientific knowledge as a tool for the dissemination of Science, to promote the scientific culture of the population in general.It presents and discusses the main difficulties in developing this type of project, such as transport, choice of experiments, mediation and organization of exhibitions.
