ResumoThe experiment was conducted in the replacement young flock and parent flock of the poultry company OOO Kamenskaya ptitsefabrika. The experiment purpose was revealing the effect of debeaking of replacement young flock of Hubbard F15 cross meat-type chickens of various ages on their productive qualities. Three experimental groups of 1000 day-old chicks each were formed. The chicks of the first control group were not debeaked. The chicks of the 2nd group were debeaked at the age of 21 days, and the chicks of the 3rd group were debeaked at the age of 44 days. Debeaking (beak-trimming) was performed by a special device to Ѕ of the beak length. The experiment lasted from day-old age to 63 weeks' age (to the end of egg-laying). The following was considered during the experiment: the flock livability, young chickens crop percent, egg-laying qualities, hatching eggs yield, and the crop of broilers per 1 hen housed. The debeaking of the replacement young flock of meat-type chickens at the age of 21 and 44 days resulted in the livability increase both of replacement young flock (by 2.8-2.9%), and parent flock (by 25.5-26.6%), and the increase of young chickens crop percent by 3.7-4.1%. The debeaking of the replacement young flock at the age of 21 and 44 days contributed to egg-laying increase by 16.4-14.6%, and the crop of broilers per 1 hen housed by 20-22.8%. The experiment results prove that the debeaking of the replacement flock at the age of 21 days results in higher performance indices.
