ResumoThe dynamic of relationships between teachers and students has been of particular significance since cooperative learning became recognized a most supportive environment for studies. This led the authors to the idea of studying a target group of students (N = 972) to find out how often they noticed and perceived quality instruction and how they described good teachers in their essays. Their research was based on hermeneutical analysis of these essays. The criteria for interpretative analysis were teacher a person; teacher a skilled professional; and teacher an ethical person and professional. The statements provided by students allow wider reflections on organization of teachers' pre-and inservice training. The personal characteristics and professional skills and activities the students highlighted deserve attention expected traits and competencies for which teachers could aspire while building cumulative knowledge and pedagogical capability across the profession in order to develop educational excellence. Introduction All ideals are difficult to describe. However, a. good teacher has been somebody to be desired to educate any new generation in all times. Here and throughout the article, we use selected students' statements to illustrate their perceptions of what makes a good teacher: I think some are just born teachers. They have a charisma that makes us all sit still and listen, and it is never boring. And you never feel restricted or ajraid (Grade 12). The expectations of modern society regarding what teachers of the 21st century should be like and be able to do are many and diverse. Accordingly, even teachers today are facing multiple challenges, they must also understand their changing roles and increasing responsibilities. Comprehending education as a moral enterprise (Pinar, Reynolds, Slattery, & Taubman, 1995, p. 628), teachers in many countries, if not globally, have understood why aspirations to educational excellence are so meaningful for sustainability in all environments - natural, social and cultural - and what is actually the role of good teachers for the global future. In order to be a good teacher, you must be really well informed in many walks ojlije. Not everybody can have such wide horizons; not everybody bothers to be smart (Grade 12). This student focuses on the reason why in many countries, in particular in Europe, reconceptualization of teacher education is one of the key issues in educational policy making, concentrating on three I's - innovation, integration, and improvement. Literature Review Research on teacher performance has offered diverse insights into defining the educational efficiency or professional excellence of teachers. Different educational cultures prioritize teachers' skills and knowledge differently, but considering teaching a reflective practice puts forward the need to comprehend what there is to reflect upon if one wants to be acceptable a person and recognized a good professional. The research analyzing teachers' pedagogical capabilities in different countries is wide and numerous. Ryan (2006) and Villegas and Lucas (2002) discussed teachers' competence for culturally relevant practices. Lukjanowa (2004), Kusainov (2008), Klippert (2004), Uljens (1997), and Gordon (2006) analyzed various didactic and psychological approaches teachers can use at school, to name just a few. The dynamic of relationships between teachers and students has been studied by Miller (2003) and has been of particular significance since cooperative learning has been recognized a most supportive environment for studies. If you feel that a teacher respects and cares about you, you will respect and care about him or her well. But many teachers think they are just high and mighty (Grade 9). The desire to establish cooperative environments led us to the idea of studying one more target group of individuals to whom the research has so far paid no great attention, but who appear to be of equal importance in the efficient and cooperative (i. …
