ResumoThe diagnosis of celiac disease involves serologic testing (generally for IgA anti–tissue transglutaminase antibodies first) followed by upper endoscopy with biopsy for confirmation in most patients. Patients with celiac disease should follow a lifelong, strict gluten-free diet.
