Resumo

Free-living nematodes were collected from a wide depth range (0.8-82m) and different substrate types in the northernmost part of the Bothnian Bay (Hailuoto, Krunnit area; salinity 2-3.5 %). The collection comprises 32 species and contains limnic and brackish water elements. Most of the species showed a wide range of occurrence with regard to both depth and substrate type (especially the three most common species Axonolaimus spinosus, Chromadorita fennica and Paracanthonchus bothnicus n.sp.). The paper gives a detailed systematic account of several species, in particular Hofmaenneria brachystoma, Chromadorita tentabunda, Neochromadora izhorica, Paracanthonchus bothnicus n.sp. and Tripyla filipjevi.
