CONSTANTIN §TREANGAsuccesconstantin 18@yahoo. comUniversity of BucharestIntroductionLocated at the crossroads of some major relief units offering a great tourism potential, among which the central and southern groups of the Eastern Carpathians and Sub-Carpathians of Moldavia and Curvature, Depression Onecti, although it is not listed as a nationally important tourist region, due to elements of less spectacular natural landscape, or some less known traditions and activities, provides the most documented people and opportunities to visit some unique elements in the country, even if most of travellers are locals (Fig. 1). Availability in the region is provided by existence of significant road E 574 Bacâu-Onecti-Bracov, DN 11 A, DN 12 A that result from E 85, most of them have been upgraded in recent years, the situation in which presents and roads of local importance in the area. Depression is crossed by the railway Adjud-Onecti-Ciceu that connects between buses 4 and 5 of Romania. At a distance of 50 km is located in Bacau International Airport can provide a much faster way of transportation. Although Târgu Ocna has a long tradition in the field, and consequently used to maintain and currently maintains the status of spa resort of national interest, most tourists are registered in Onecti, due to the economic importance gained during the last century, plus some cultural activities at a greater magnitude than in the small neighbor urban center.Numerous authors have approached this region from touristic views in their works: Târgu Ocna, Climatic Health Resort (N. Ielenicz, 2003).Tourist PotentialThe natural factors include landscape elements with strange shapes of the salt around Târgu Ocna, the stately crest of the hill on the municipality of Onecti, with a series of caves, spectacular is the southern steep offering a wall of medium difficulty for enthusiast climbers. The potential is very important in favorably influencing the climate in terms of tourism development for Depression Onecti, the shelter topoclimate stands out.The hydrograph network complements the other components of the natural attractiveness of the area. The most important minerals are ground waters (chlorine and soda) present in Târgu Ocna or nearby in Slanic Moldova and Poiana Sarata, they are used to treat various diseases and determined knowledge of the region nationally in terms of tourism. The tourism potential of the lakes is very low, just before 1991, accumulating Lake Belci of Tazlau by its arrangements are of some interest.The vegetation enhances the quality of tourist value of many areas especially that lately the focus is on the development of ecotourism. In Depression Onecti, there are three reservations at the boundary with the surrounding regions, two of which are located in the two towns, and the third is included in the commune Manastirea Cacin. If the reservation exists since the '70s, the rest were declared only in 2004. These are forest type reservations, with high biodiversity, but also with elements of fauna. The botanical reservation Perchiu covers 206.47 hectares on the Hill (397.7 m) in the north of Onecti over Trotuc River and houses thermophilic species belonging to the steppe.
