ResumoespanolLa condicion de 'nativos digitales' de los jovenes de hoy les confiere una posicion dominante frente a sus mayores. Su uso cotidiano de los medios digitales de informacion y comunicacion les ha permitido desarrollar nuevas formas de relacion y construir sus propios espacios de autonomia colectiva. Las instituciones educativas deben afrontar ya el reto de adecuarse a la realidad de sus publicos para frenar el desfase cultural-tecnologico que ya es un hecho. EnglishYoung people of today are 'digital natives', which allows them to dominate over their elders. Their daily use of digital media for information and communication has led them to develop new ways of relationg to others while building new spaces of collective autonomy. Educational institutions need to confront this challenging reality immediately and adapt to these populations. Only in this way will they be able to slow down the everwidening techno-cultural gap.
