Since the publication of Arditti & Ghani (2000), it has been brought to our attention that several of the values within Table 2 ‘Orchid seeds: numbers and weights’ are incorrect due to typographical errors. Specifically, the units for mass per seed for six of the orchid species are recorded as ‘milligrams per seed’ rather than ‘micrograms per seed’. The correct values are printed below: Table 1.
