Resumo

The present work is one of the few studies that tries to determine the reliability, validity and predictive wer of an adaptation of the EFQM model applied to the public university field. In order to achieve this aim, a sample of 111 Spanish university centres is analysed using Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. The results obtained show that, besides the validity and high predictive power of the constructs, a group of implications for the university management can be extracted. It highlights the influence of leadership, and policy and strategy on other agents considered within the model and on the results related to centres. On the other hand, what has been planned in po- licy and strategy should be put into practice through the key processes, where the relevance of the educational pro- cesses is outstanding, due to its impact on student, people, and the centre global results.
