Brain Metastases and Treatment

This article reviews the roles of surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy in the treatment of children with brain tumors and demonstrates how improvements in therapy have resulted from academic center-based multimodality care. The consequences of a brain tumor and its treatment are also reviewed, highlighting the need for a comprehensive medical team including neurologists, neuropsychologists, and endocrinologists to be involved in the care of all children with brain tumors.
