ResumoThis article about the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Masoretic Text has the main aim of analyzing the orthographical system of the two most relevant manuscripts of the book of Isaiah found at Hirbet Qumran in 1947 (the 1QIs a and the 1QIs b ) and the orthographical rules found in the Leningrad Codex B19a (L) and in the Aleppo Codex (A), which are two of the most important masoretic manuscripts of Ben Asher tradition. This brief study compares the Hebrew orthography adopted in each of the four documents and its aim is to select and comment on similar and different elements found in them. The article also deals with the main physical characteristics and the most significant historical information about the four Hebrew documents as well as commenting on some occurrences of textual variants found in them.
